Useful information

Where is Corfu?

Corfu is a large Greek island off the west coast of mainland Greece, and is a member of the Ionian Islands archipelago.

What is Corfu weather like?

Generally speaking, the weather in Corfu is beautiful. In the summer months, you can expect soaring temperatures, very warm evenings, bright blue skies and an ocean that offers the best swimming temperatures imaginable. It cools down in fall and spring, but in these months, it is still considered t-shirt weather, and in the winter, though you may need a jumper, it is unlikely to drop below 57 degrees Fahrenheit during the day.

Is Corfu nightlife good?

Yes, Corfu is considered one of the best Greek islands when it comes to a thriving nightlife. Predominantly within Corfu town center, you will find an incredible range of nightclubs, upper-class bars, and thrilling beachside bars up and down the coast.

Is Corfu good for families?

Yes, despite the excellent nightlife, Corfu is also considered a great destination for traveling as a family, with an incredible amount of fun activities children of any age will enjoy, wonderful landscape to explore and let the imagination run wild, and a range of sites of historical and cultural interest that is sure to pique your most curious child’s interest.

What are the main cities in Corfu?

Across Corfu, you will find an eclectic mix of towns, cities and villages, each with its own charm and character. The main tourist hot spots on the island include the main town of Corfu, criss-crossed with cobblestone pavements and packed full of centuries old architecture and sites, the laid-back seaside village Kavos, a traditional fishing village called Kassiopi, and the harbor-side village of Gouvia.

Where are the best beaches in Corfu?

As an island with a rather large long and thin section, you can expect plenty of brilliant Corfu beaches. We particularly love Kontogialos Beach on the westside of the island, not too far from Corfu town center, the stunning Saint Gordios Beach, Kassiopi and Kavo - though these are just the tip of the iceberg (or perhaps sandcastle?).
