Where is Bali?

Bali is one of the islands that make up Indonesia in Southeast Asia. It is located just east of Java and west of Lombok. Indonesia is located between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, north of Australia.

Is Bali safe?

Yes, Bali is very safe. Like any popular tourist destination, we recommend taking normal precautions in regard to your personal belongings.

Indonesia is situated on the Ring of Fire, so-called for its high number of volcanoes and seismic activity. Bali has three active volcanoes, the largest being Mount Agung. However, this shouldn’t deter you as eruptions are reported in advance and most tourist areas on the island are at minor risk. There are even treks up to the summit some of the volcanoes. 

What language is spoken in Bali?

The two main languages of Bali are Balinese and Indonesian.

However, most people in Bali also speak English, so English-speaking travelers should get by without much issue.

When is the best time to go to Bali?

How do you get to Bali?

There are currently no direct flights from the U.S or U.K to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar Airport (DPS). Most flights from these locations stop off at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). There are direct flights from other parts of Indonesia and Australia as well as a few other countries in Asia. 

What is the currency in Bali?

The currency in Bali is the Indonesian rupiah. 

Do you need a passport to go to Bali?

Yes, you need a valid passport to enter Bali. You may need to apply for a 30-day visitor visa upon arrival at the airport.
