The best time to visit Cape Coral
Cape Coral is a beautiful destination all year around, but spring and fall are particularly lovely times to visit. The weather will be mild and sunny, the perfect conditions to get out on the water and explore the winding canals of the area. Spring and fall are also quieter than the peak seasons of summer and mid-winter, so you'll be able to discover the wonders of Cape Coral without the crowds.
Food in Cape Coral
Due to its reputation as a vacation hotspot, Cape Coral has got a fantastic selection of restaurants catering to all tastes and styles. Unsurprisingly, seafood features on many menus in the city, and given Cape Coral’s coastal position, the fish on offer is about as fresh as you’ll find anywhere. The closest airport to Cape Coral is The Southwest Florida International Airport, at just over 12 miles away. You can fly direct from many destinations in the USA including New York, Houston, and Denver.
From across the Atlantic, you'll need to make a stopover en route in another American city, perhaps Orlando, Charlotte, or Philadelphia.
A Cape Coral has got a bit of a reputation for being a very busy place to drive in. With plenty of traffic about, jams and holdups aren't unusual on roads through the city. A reason for this traffic is that it is very difficult to get about in Cape Coral without a car, as there is little in the way of public transport.
