Set in and around Florence, these villas place guests close to Renaissance architecture, historic landmarks, cobblestone streets, galleries, restaurants, and the timeless beauty of Tuscany.
Florence is the capital of Tuscany and one of Italy’s great cultural destinations, known for its art, history, medieval streets, red-tiled rooftops, and world-famous sights. Beyond the city, rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, and countryside villages create the perfect setting for relaxed Italian escapes.
Many of our Florence villas feature rustic Tuscan interiors, elegant living spaces, private pools, landscaped gardens, terraces, alfresco dining areas, and beautiful countryside views. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, family vacation, or group stay, our villas in Florence provide a stylish base for exploring the city and enjoying the slower pace of Tuscan life.
Popular Florence villas
Florence, the capital of the Tuscany region, is nestled deep within its heart. Located south from Milan and north from Rome, Florence is close to Siena, Arezzo, Lucca and Pisa, some of our other popular Tuscany destinations.
We highly recommend a visit to the Accademia Gallery housing the famous David of Michelangelo, the Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace, and Palazzo Vecchio.
In the summer months, there is nothing quite like a balmy evening in Florence. You can expect high temperatures and bright blue skies. Fall and spring are typically cooler, but still warm enough to wear t-shirts, and the winters are very mild, and snow is very rare.
Despite being a cultural hub, Florence is, surprisingly, well-known for having wonderful nightlife. There are plenty of clubs and bars dotted throughout the historical city, with opening hours that extend long into the early hours.
Florence is set deep within the Tuscan countryside, so if you’re hoping to visit a beach on your vacation, you will need to be prepared to make a trip elsewhere. For example, one of the best beaches in Tuscany, in Viareggio, is an hour and twenty minute drive away.

When to visit Florence
Florence, the beautiful city in Tuscany, Italy, is a popular tourist destination year-round, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences and what you want to experience.
Spring (March to May) and Fall (September to October) are considered the best times to visit Florence. During these months, the weather is mild, and the city is less crowded compared to the peak summer months. Spring brings colorful blooms and a refreshing atmosphere, while Fall offers pleasant temperatures and the stunning changing colors of the surrounding countryside.
Summer (June to August) is the peak tourist season in Florence. The city is bustling with visitors, and temperatures can be hot, reaching their peak in July and August. However, this is also when many cultural events, festivals, and outdoor concerts take place, providing a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
Winter (December to February) is the off-season in Florence. While the city is less crowded, it can get chilly, especially in January and February. However, this is an excellent time for travelers who prefer a quieter experience and want to enjoy museums, galleries, and historical sites without the crowds.

Food in Florence
When it comes to popular European cities like Florence, threaded with quaint cobblestone streets, courtyards awash in the scent of blooming flowers, and hidden gems that offer the most impressive views of the Florence Duomo from your outdoor dining table, we highly recommend you take the time to discover unlikely restaurants hidden away in the twisting medieval streets. Often, these are the best restaurants in Florence offering authentic settings, and you are likely to find the most incredible Italian cuisine you’ll ever sample in your life. However, if you need some inspiration to get going with, we recommend the highly rated Gustarium, the Trattoria il Bargello, the SENZ’ALTRO Bistrot, and if you’re celebrating, the Michelin starred Degusteria Italiana agli Uffizi.
To get to Florence from the USA, you'll need to hop on a connecting flight, which, depending on where you are flying from, could stopover in London, Rome, Zurich, or other European cities.
Flying to Florence from the UK is more straightforward, with direct flights out of London several times a week.
There is a shuttle tram (the T2) that runs every 5 to 10 minutes from Florence Airport to the central station. it costs around 1.5 euros one way, and is an easy way to get into the city if you don't have a car.
Driving in Florence's historic center is best avoided. To avoid traffic congestion, there are areas that non-locals are not allowed to drive in, making it difficult to get about without hitting traffic and congestion.
On the other hand, if you're exploring the Tuscan landscapes, then having a rental car is a great way to get around and visit some of the tiny villages and towns that are otherwise difficult tor each.
Florence has got one of the biggest train stations in Tuscany. The Santa Maria Novella has 19 platforms with trains arriving and departing to locations across Italy - making it possible to easily take a daytrip to Rome, the Italian Lakes, and Cinque Terre among other fantastic destinations.
