Part of Cedar Crest Cottages, a historic vacation retreat dating to the 1930s, the newly renovated cottage features stylish decor, modern amenities and a tranquil mountain ambience. Located on the ground level of a two-story cottage, this home welcomes guests to an open-concept living area with heated stone floors, wood-paneled walls and high ceilings.

After a day on the lake or mountain, relax on the chic leather sofa with a glass of wine, add ambient music from the smart soundbar, or watch a movie on the large-screen TV. Between cable, a blu-ray player and streaming capabilities, you will have a near-endless library of options.

A writers desk with storage sits between the living area and gourmet kitchen, inviting longer stays for guests looking for a relaxing place to work remotely.

In the gourmet kitchen, state-of-the art appliances by Bosch, GE, and Liebherr may inspire a new cooking hobby, while a four-seat dining area offers ample space for intimate dinners or entertaining.

Across the hall, a private bedroom comfortably sleeps up to two guests with a king -sized bed which can be converted to two extra-long twins upon request. Tastefully styled in soft tones with stone floors and plush bedding, the bedroom features a luxurious en-suite bathroom with a tub shower. The cottage also has a separate guest powder room.

A washer and dryer, ironing board and complimentary laundry pods add convenience, particularly for longer stays.

As a guest of Cedar Creek Cottages, you will enjoy access to the community BBQ grill and oversized fire pit with filtered lake views, including glimpses of the mountains. In the summer, stroll to the beach across the street for swimming, sailing and boating on the lake, or hike through the surrounding mountains. In the winter, drive less than two minutes to the family-friendly Homestead Mountain Resort, or just 25 minutes to the varied terrain of Squaw Valley. The restaurants, shops and entertainment of Tahoe City is just 10 minutes away.

We rented the Chickadee Cabin for my son’s wedding. The cabin was very clean and stylish! The bedding was high quality and extremely comfortable. The cabin was in a good location central to the wedding venue and restaurants! We really enjoyed out stay!
