When you’re deciding when to visit Orlando, Florida, there are two main factors you need to keep in mind as you choose your getaway dates; what the weather will be like and how busy it will be. In terms of weather, Florida is in a fantastic position for year-round sunshine, so even in the depths of winter, it is unlikely you will need more than a light jacket. However, in the summer months, the temperatures can climb to quite uncomfortable heights. These months are also characterized by sudden downpours, though they tend to be warm and over as quickly as they come.

In terms of visitor numbers, despite the harsher weather in summer, this also tends to be the most popular time to visit. This is because time away from work and school holidays take place during this time, which means people are more able to travel. So you may find the queue times at the theme parks get longer, and you will need to book tickets for other attractions throughout the city in good time to ensure you get a spot. Tourist numbers also increase around popular holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Spring Break, so keep this in mind when you’re planning your trip. If you can, we recommend traveling in September to early December, or late January to early May, to get the best combination of weather and smaller visitor numbers.

Paradise Palms Resort is located on the outskirts of the city of Orlando, towards the southwest, whereas the main airport, Orlando International, is on the outskirts towards the southeast. There are two recommended ways of getting between the resort and the airport; the first being along the FL-528. This is because this is the quickest and most direct route between the two, taking 30 minutes in good traffic and covering a distance of 27.4 miles. The alternative route is along the FL-417, which, whilst it takes four minutes longer and covers 0.6 miles of distance, it passes some handy shops such as Publix and Walmart, which makes it more convenient if you need to stop off to pick up any last minute bits for your vacation. Please note, however, that both of these routes are toll roads, so go prepared with that in mind.

Currently, there is no Paradise Palms Resort shuttle service that will take you directly to the Disney parks. However, that doesn’t mean getting there isn’t easy and straightforward. There are a large variety of taxi firms available around Orlando that you can arrange in advance to pick you up when you want. We highly recommend having your own vehicle to use throughout your vacation, as you won’t need to stick to anybody else’s schedule that way. Paradise Palms Resort Florida is located towards the southwest of the city of Orlando, within fifteen minutes of the nearest Disney World park, and a half hour drive from the main airport.

Paradise Palms is in a prime position, located close to the Disney Parks. The closest park is Animal Kingdom, which is a short 15 minute drive away.

Like the Disney Parks, Universal Studios is also located not too far away from the Paradise Palms Kissimmee FL resort; only a quick 24 minute drive in good traffic.

Paradise Palms Florida does not have its own golf course, but it is located in the perfect position, close to a huge range of international courses, designed by renowned architects.
