Spring brings longer, sunnier days - ideal for relaxed skiing and terrace lunches.
Yes, Méribel is a fantastic resort for families. It offers gentle beginner slopes, dedicated learning zones, and a range of excellent ESF and international ski schools catering to children and adults alike. Off the slopes, there are fun non-skiing activities like toboggan runs, indoor play areas, and family-friendly dining.
That really depends on your desired ski holiday vibe! Both ski resorts are part of Les Trois Vallées, so you can ski between them easily - but they do offer different vibes.
Courchevel is known for luxury, Michelin-starred dining, and upscale shopping, while Méribel offers a more authentic alpine village atmosphere, great après-ski, and a central location. Méribel is often preferred by those seeking charm and accessibility to both sides of the ski domain.

Private transfers are ideal for families and groups with luggage and ski equipment, taking you directly to your chalet or apartment. For guests who prefer not to drive mountain roads, pre-booked transfers from Geneva, Chambéry, Lyon or Grenoble make the journey smoother, especially during the busy winter ski season. During winter, snow and mountain conditions can affect travel, so it’s important to allow extra time and make sure your vehicle is properly equipped.
For ski holidays, many guests prefer to pre-book airport transfers and use local resort transport once they arrive, especially if staying close to the lifts. However, having a car can be useful for reaching different Méribel villages, shopping for chalet supplies, exploring nearby resorts or travelling outside peak lift hours. If you do drive to Méribel in winter, check parking options at your chalet or apartment in advance, carry snow chains where required and be prepared for busy roads during school holidays and changeover weekends.
