We highly recommend hiring your own vehicle where you can, as it will offer you the freedom to enjoy your vacation exactly how you want it, with no need to keep to any schedules.
Formosa Gardens Orlando Florida is one of the closest resorts to the Disney World parks, so you can be certain of quick and easy journeys in the morning. From the resort to Magic Kingdom, the journey takes 16 minutes, and the journey to Hollywood Studios takes 14 minutes.
The main airport in Orlando is Orlando International, also known as MCO. Where Formosa Gardens is nestled on the southwest of the city, MCO is to the southeast. There are two main ways to get between the two; the first being a 33 minute drive via the FL-528. This route covers 27.9 miles, and though there is a toll, the fee is fairly low. The second option runs further south of Orlando, along the FL-417. This route, however, also has a toll and it takes 37 minutes, so we recommend using the FL-528.
The climate is dry for much of the year, with temperatures ranging from mild in the winter months, to fairly high in the summer months. In the summer, there is a chance of sudden downpours, but these are often warm and typically don’t last for very long. However, for the perfect balance of dry weather and mild temperatures, we recommend traveling in the fall and spring. Summer and winter are still great months to go, but the weather isn’t as good as it can be in these months, and you will also need to consider crowd sizes. People are much more likely to travel in summer and throughout the festive season, so, not only can the resorts fill up, but Orlando’s biggest attractions will likely be significantly busier. Don’t worry, though, if this is the only time you can travel, as, with plenty of forward planning, you are certain to have the vacation you are dreaming of.
