Disney World Halloween 2026
Halloween at Walt Disney World brings pumpkins, fall decorations, limited-time food, character experiences and special events to the parks from August onwards. The biggest celebration is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, but there are also seasonal experiences at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, giving you plenty of ways to enjoy Halloween across the resort.
Whether you’re planning your entire Orlando vacation around Halloween or adding a party night to a longer Disney trip, this guide covers what’s happening in 2026, when to visit, what tickets you need and how to make the most of the season. You’ll also find tips on costumes, seasonal food, family-friendly experiences and where to stay nearby. For easy access to the parks, explore our villas near Disney World, with homes close to all four theme parks and plenty of space to relax between busy Disney days.
Disney World’s Halloween season starts well before October 31. In 2026, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on August 7 and continues on selected nights through Halloween itself.
Magic Kingdom receives the strongest Halloween transformation, with pumpkins, garlands and autumn decorations appearing throughout areas including Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland and Frontierland. Other parts of Walt Disney World celebrate fall in different ways, from pumpkin hunts and character dining to seasonal food and entertainment.
If your main priority is the full Disney Halloween experience, August through October gives you the widest choice of seasonal activities.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026
The main event for Halloween at Disney World is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a separately ticketed evening event at Magic Kingdom.
The party combines trick-or-treating, Halloween entertainment, Disney characters, special versions of selected rides, limited-time food and some of the park’s biggest seasonal shows.
If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom outside the party as well, our Guide to Magic Kingdom covers rides, restaurants, tickets and planning a full day at the park.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates
The 2026 party takes place on selected nights from August 7 through October 31.
August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30
September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29
October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31
The official party runs from 7pm until midnight, although valid party-ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom from 4pm.

Disney World Halloween tickets
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party requires a separate ticket from standard Magic Kingdom admission. You do not need a separate daytime Magic Kingdom ticket simply to enter from 4pm with a valid party ticket.
Tickets vary in price depending on the date and popular nights can sell out well before October. If you are planning a future Disney Halloween trip, booking the event early is one of the most important things to organize.
Top Villas guests can also find information about standard park admission and special events through our Disney World tickets page.
What happens at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
There is much more to the evening than simply seeing Magic Kingdom decorated for Halloween. Party-exclusive entertainment runs throughout the night, alongside trick-or-treating, character appearances, rides and seasonal food.
For 2026, Disney has also introduced a changing masquerade hosted by Stitch with Lilo and Angel in Tomorrowland, alongside pirate entertainment featuring Captain Jack Sparrow in Adventureland.
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is one of the biggest attractions of the party and takes place twice during the evening.
Disney characters appear in Halloween costumes as the procession makes its way through Magic Kingdom, joined by Haunted Mansion characters including the Hitchhiking Ghosts and the spectral Bride. Disney villains take over the finale.
The parade lasts around 20 minutes and is exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
Cinderella Castle becomes the backdrop for Disney’s Halloween fireworks show, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.
Hosted by Jack Skellington from , the show combines fireworks, projections, lasers and lighting with a Halloween story featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Disney villains.
It is another party-exclusive experience, so standard daytime Magic Kingdom admission will not give you access to the show on party nights.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
The Sanderson Sisters take over the Cinderella Castle Stage for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.
Winifred, Mary and Sarah are joined by Disney villains including Oogie Boogie, Maleficent and Dr. Facilier as they attempt to create their Halloween party potion. Dancers, projections and stage effects make this one of the biggest live performances of the night.
Trick-or-treating at Magic Kingdom
Yes, you can actually trick-or-treat around Magic Kingdom.
Candy stations are positioned throughout the park, allowing guests to collect treats while moving between rides and entertainment. Disney also provides allergy-friendly options, with separate arrangements available for guests with food allergies.
You do not have to be a child to take part, making this one of the experiences families can enjoy together.
Disney characters at Halloween
Halloween is also a chance to see Disney characters in seasonal outfits and find appearances that differ from a normal park day.
Storybook Circus hosts characters including Donald, Daisy and Pluto, while other entertainment and character experiences appear around Magic Kingdom throughout the evening. The exact line-up can change, so check the party schedule on your visit.

Halloween rides at Magic Kingdom
Many Magic Kingdom rides continue operating during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, making it possible to combine seasonal entertainment with some of the park’s biggest attractions.
A few rides get additional Halloween touches. In 2026, Space Mountain operates in pitch-black darkness with spooky music, the Mad Tea Party uses special lighting effects and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor becomes one of the trick-or-treat locations.
Haunted Mansion is an obvious addition to a Halloween itinerary even without a special overlay, while rides including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Pirates of the Caribbean and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are also scheduled to operate during the party.
Disney World Halloween costumes
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the occasions when older guests can dress up at Magic Kingdom, but Disney has specific costume rules.
Costumes should remain family-friendly and must meet Disney’s current safety guidelines. Rules differ depending on age and can cover masks, capes, props and costumes that reach the ground.
Because the requirements can change, check Disney’s official costume policy before finalizing what you plan to wear rather than relying on guidance from a previous Halloween season.
For a simpler option, Halloween T-shirts, ears and themed accessories can still give you the party look without having to spend the evening in a full costume.
Halloween food at Magic Kingdom
Halloween brings limited-time food and drinks to Magic Kingdom, including party-exclusive dishes as well as selected treats available during regular park hours.
Quick-service locations around the park serve seasonal items, while party guests can also book selected table-service restaurants. In 2026, Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table offer party-exclusive items from 4pm on event nights, while The Plaza Restaurant has Halloween additions available during the season.
Disney also offers Not-So-Spooky Spectacular dessert-party experiences for guests who want reserved fireworks viewing alongside desserts and drinks.
Menus change from year to year, so it is worth checking the latest Halloween Foodie Guide shortly before your visit rather than planning around an item from a previous season.
Halloween at EPCOT
EPCOT does not have a separately ticketed Halloween party, but there are still seasonal experiences worth adding to a fall visit.
Our Guide to EPCOT covers the park’s rides, World Showcase, restaurants and festivals if you are planning a full day here.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Dates: September 25 to November 2, 2026Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a family-friendly scavenger hunt taking place around EPCOT during the International Food & Wine Festival.
Purchase a game board and stickers, then look around the park for decorative pumpkins inspired by Disney characters. Match each pumpkin with its location on the board before taking your completed or partially completed board to a participating redemption point for a keepsake.
It is an easy Halloween activity to fit around a normal EPCOT day and is particularly good for families who want something seasonal without attending an evening party.
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs from August 27 to November 21, 2026, overlapping almost the entire Disney Halloween season.
It is not a Halloween event itself, but the festival adds global food stalls, drinks, entertainment and seasonal atmosphere to an autumn visit. Halloween treats can also appear around EPCOT as October approaches.

Halloween at Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a smaller Halloween offering than Magic Kingdom, but there is one particularly good option for families who want seasonal character dining.
See our Guide to Hollywood Studios for rides, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, restaurants and park-planning advice.
Minnie’s Halloween Dine
Dates: August 16 to November 3, 2026Minnie’s Halloween Dine takes place at Hollywood & Vine, where Minnie Mouse and friends appear in Halloween outfits during a seasonal character meal.
It provides a much gentler way for younger children to enjoy Disney Halloween characters and can be combined with a normal Hollywood Studios park day rather than requiring a separate Halloween event ticket.
Seasonal Halloween food also appears at selected Hollywood Studios locations during the fall.
Halloween at Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom does not host a major Halloween party like Magic Kingdom, but Disney introduces seasonal food and fall touches across the resort during the Halloween period.
In 2026, Halloween treats are available at selected Animal Kingdom locations, allowing you to add something seasonal to a normal park day without changing your itinerary around a dedicated event.
If Animal Kingdom is part of your trip, our Guide to Animal Kingdom covers its rides, wildlife experiences, restaurants and planning tips.
Halloween at Disney Springs
Disney Springs has one of the strongest Halloween offerings outside the parks and does not require theme park admission.
From August 11 to November 9, 2026, Disney Springs features fall and Halloween decorations, seasonal entertainment and limited-time food and drinks. Town Center hosts autumn entertainment, while stores and restaurants add seasonal merchandise and menus.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar receives a full Halloween transformation with themed decorations and special food and drinks. Seasonal treats can also be found at locations including Amorette’s Patisserie and The Ganachery.
Disney Springs is particularly useful for an arrival day, rest day or evening when you do not want to use another theme park ticket.
Tips for Visiting Disney World at Halloween
A little planning goes a long way during Halloween season:
- Check Magic Kingdom hours carefully. On Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights, regular daytime park hours finish earlier than on many non-party dates.
- Plan your party priorities before arriving. Trying to do every ride, parade, show, character and trick-or-treat trail in one evening is difficult.
- Use the 4pm entry time. Party tickets allow entry before the official 7pm start, giving you time to eat, take photos or experience a few rides first.
- Leave room for seasonal food. Halloween menus change each year and some items are exclusive to party nights.
- Check costume rules beforehand. Do not wait until you reach the gate to find out an outfit or accessory does not meet Disney's guidelines.
- Avoid exhausting everyone beforehand. If the party runs until midnight, a slower morning or afternoon can make the evening much more enjoyable.
