Antica Villa Merelli is a beautifully restored Tuscan manor house set on a peaceful hillside near Monte San Savino, surrounded by greenery, centuries-old holm oaks and sweeping countryside. Dating back to the late 16th century, this elegant estate blends historic character with modern comfort across generous interiors of around 1000 square metres, sleeping up to 12 guests in six double bedrooms. Original architecture, marble floors, refined stone details and hand-painted doors give the villa a distinctive sense of style, while frescoed ceilings, an imposing staircase, antique fireplaces and carefully curated furnishings create a warm, sophisticated atmosphere. The layout includes inviting living and sitting rooms, a formal dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, a piano, a small games room and a charming TV room with old books, as well as a panoramic terrace for soaking up the views. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, two bedrooms include TVs, and air conditioning is available in all bedrooms.
Outside, the estate is every bit as impressive. The villa sits within extensive grounds with landscaped gardens, a vineyard, olive grove and orchard, offering a wonderfully serene setting for a Tuscan escape. Guests can enjoy a spectacular 25-metre private pool with an infinity edge, salt purification and a spacious sun terrace arranged with loungers, tables and gazebos. There is also a synthetic-grass tennis court, table tennis, children’s play areas and plenty of lovely spaces for outdoor living, from the jasmine-draped pergola between the villa and pool to the shaded dining area beneath the oaks. A barbecue, WiFi, satellite TV, parking, bedding and towels are all provided, and pets are welcome too.
