Description
You will find Campodalto in the heart of Umbria just outside Paciano, a small medieval town included among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Its proximity to the town center is due to the fact that it was once one of the watchtowers just outside the city walls, dating back to the 16th century. This privileged position is still advantageous today, in fact from the private park and swimming pool the expanses of vineyards and olive groves of the Val di Chiana are dominated at 180 to be admired, immersed in the jacuzzi, while they are tinged with the warm colors of the sunset. In this idyllic setting stands the farmhouse, the result of a skillful restoration carried out over the years according to very specific criteria and according to the desire to give life to a real country house, however, leaving room for the owners' creativity and modern comforts. Pursuing this aim, the original plan of the old farmhouse has been maintained which provided for the ground floor used as a shelter for animals. Traditional and recycled materials have been used but of great value such as chestnut parquet, wooden beams and terracotta; furthermore, in some rooms the plaster reveals at times the stones that form the thick walls, evidence of the passing of the centuries. The interiors are also enriched with nineteenth-century antique furniture in walnut briar, some inserts in a contemporary style and a touch of art deco, which blend together in a perfect balance.
