This simplistic vacation rental is located in a gated neighborhood on Mt Jean. Inside you will find an open-plan living and dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchen, with sliding glass doors that can opened to merge this living area with the terrace. The terrace features outdoor lounge seating, sunloungers, and a remarkable infinity pool that curves along one side and offering incredible views of the bay below. Beside the pool, you will also find a gazebo with a dining table that is perfect for enjoying the scenery while taking breakfast or your evening meal.

Less is more in the case of the recently renovated Villa Nocean. There's no clutter or complications; in their place are a welcoming ease and carefree spirit. The luxury rental property's location in the desirable, gated neighborhood of Mont Jean gives you a rational reason to relax here, while the stunning sea views and subtle elegance in the decor give you an emotional cue to let yourself feel at home and at peace. Take a deep breath and hold it. Now exhale. That's the sensation you have as you begin to discover Nocean. You can feel your shoulders sliding gently down, away from your ears, where they have probably been for far too long.

The architecture of Villa Nocean is classic Caribbean style, with whitewashed vaulted ceilings and unfussy white walls (and, even better, transparent glass walls). The inviting furnishings create a lived-in feeling with just enough St. Barth polish. This is not the sort of villa where you'll be afraid to touch anything. Instead, you can be comfortable, from the moment you arrive until you reluctantly depart.

Villa Nocean's most beguiling space is its weathered-wood terrace, where a sparkling infinity pool curves along one side and the views of the bay below can captivate. It has a shaded area with comfortable seating and small table for breakfasts, as well as a separate pavilion with a bigger dining table. The glass walls of the living room can be opened so that this terrace merges seamlessly into the interior space, which includes seating around a TV and a good-size galley kitchen with all the necessary equipment.

The two bedrooms lie on opposite sides of this central socializing and relaxing area. Both have colorful cushions, large wardrobes and glass doors that open onto a terrace. In one of them, the bathroom is outside the bedroom but right in front of it, and in the other, the bathroom is fully ensuite.

Because it can be rented as a one- or two-bedroom vacation home, Villa Nocean is very convenient and is an excellent choice for a couple on their honeymoon or a family with teenage children.
