Villa Milonga

4-bedroom, 4-bathroom modern, spacious and serene villa in Marigot.

It is difficult not to let out a sigh of relief when you arrive at Villa Milonga after a day of traveling to reach St. Barth. The luxury property gives you an immediate feeling of "home," as soon as you step into its spacious, calm, whitewashed interior.

Following a renovation, Villa Milonga has start-of-the-art technology and equipment, pristine finishes, and a brand new Jacuzzi, but the owner also managed to keep its Caribbean charm. There are vaulted high ceilings, light-colored wood floors, and just enough eclectic details (a graphic pillow here, a colorful stool there) to give it personality—to make it feel like a home and not just a rental.

The overall feeling is one of peace. You immediately sink in and enjoy the striking sea views over Marigot Bay and cooling tropical breezes wafting through. The large open living room has plenty of seating on soft cushy couches, and it connects with a dining area, which has a large island with seating. Both overlook the pool and the bay beyond. This central area opens onto a shaded outdoor dining area, and then a sundeck with loungers, the swimming pool, and the new Jacuzzi a few steps below.

The configuration of the bedrooms makes Villa Milonga a good choice for extended families. The master bedroom is located off the living area and has its own sitting area as well as a king-size bed. A separate bungalow on the same level contains two bedrooms that connect to one another. One has a king-size bed and the other has two twins, which can be pushed together to make a king. The fourth bedroom is on a lower level and has a king bed and small private terrace. Each of the rooms has Apple TV and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

The villa is within a few minutes' drive of two beaches.
