Naxos Airport and Naxos Port are both located near Naxos Town. Most villas are 10–30 minutes away by car, depending on location.
Naxos has warm, sunny weather from May through October. July and August are the hottest, with daytime temps around 31°C (86°F) and lots of sunshine.
The Temple of Apollo (Portara) near the port is the most iconic site. Inland villages like Halki and Filoti are also worth visiting and not far by car.
Some villas are walkable to beaches and tavernas, but for exploring the island comfortably, renting a car or scooter is highly recommended.
