Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of Hollywood Studios’ biggest attractions, combining multiple ride systems, huge sets and familiar Star Wars characters in an experience built around a battle between the Resistance and the First Order.

It feels more like a complete adventure than a conventional ride and is one of the attractions worth prioritizing if you only have one day in the park.

Guests must be at least 40 inches tall.

Slinky Dog Dash

Slinky Dog Dash is the headline ride in Toy Story Land and one of the park’s best options for families ready for a roller coaster.

The outdoor track features launches, gentle drops and sweeping turns through an oversized version of Andy’s backyard. It is less intense than Hollywood Studios’ biggest thrill rides but still provides plenty of excitement.

The minimum height is 38 inches.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror combines elaborate storytelling with sudden drops inside the mysterious Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Its dark setting and unpredictable movements make it one of the park’s more intense experiences. Guests must be at least 40 inches tall.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Located inside the Chinese Theatre, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway takes guests into the colorful world of a Mickey Mouse cartoon.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets brings The Electric Mayhem and other familiar Muppet characters to Hollywood Studios’ high-speed indoor coaster.

Lightning Lane for Hollywood Studios Rides

Lightning Lane can be particularly useful at Hollywood Studios because several of its biggest rides attract strong demand.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is currently offered through Lightning Lane Single Pass rather than Multi Pass. Hollywood Studios also has a wider selection of attractions available through Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

With Multi Pass, guests can choose up to three experiences in advance, subject to Disney’s current attraction groups and availability. Additional selections may become available after the first reservation is used.

Best Order to Ride Hollywood Studios Attractions

There is no perfect route, but it makes sense to deal with your highest-priority rides early rather than simply moving around the park in a circle.

If Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is essential, consider prioritizing Galaxy’s Edge early before exploring the nearby attractions.

Families focused on Toy Story Land may prefer to head towards Slinky Dog Dash first before fitting in Toy Story Mania! and Alien Swirling Saucers while already in the area.

Tower of Terror and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster are positioned together around Sunset Boulevard, so it is efficient to tackle both during the same part of your day.

Your Lightning Lane selections and live wait times should ultimately determine the exact order.

Tips for Hollywood Studios Rides

Arrive early and decide on your two or three must-do attractions before entering the park. With only nine main rides, queues for the biggest experiences can have a noticeable effect on the rest of your day.

Check height restrictions before travelling with younger children, particularly because most Hollywood Studios rides have a minimum height.
