Where Is Reunion Resort Located?

Reunion Resort is located southwest of Orlando in Kissimmee, Florida, with convenient access to Interstate 4 and the wider Central Florida road network.

This strategic location makes Reunion particularly well-suited to families and groups who want to stay close to Orlando’s theme parks while enjoying the space, privacy and extensive facilities of a luxury resort community.

Reunion Resort covers an extensive area around Gathering Drive and includes our award-winning Reunion villas and vacation rentals, three championship golf courses, restaurants, a dedicated water park, resort pools and recreational facilities for guests with Reunion Resort membership to enjoy.

Reunion Resort to Disney World: Distance & Drive Time

Reunion Resort is approximately 6 miles from Walt Disney World, making Disney days easy to incorporate into your vacation. Depending on your destination within Walt Disney World, traffic and time of day, most journeys to the theme parks take roughly 15–20 minutes by car.

Guests can drive, use a taxi or rideshare, arrange private transportation or, where eligible, use Reunion’s scheduled Disney transportation (a pre-bookable shuttle service which is available to resort guests with Reunion Resort membership).

Driving Times to Each Disney World Park

Approximate driving times from Reunion Resort are:

Disney’s Animal Kingdom: around 15–20 minutes
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: around 15–20 minutes
EPCOT: around 15–20 minutes
Magic Kingdom: around 20 minutes

These are approximate journey times and can vary considerably with traffic, park opening times and the location of your individual Reunion Resort villa.

Orlando Airport to Reunion Resort: Distance & Drive Time

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is approximately 27 miles from Reunion Resort, with the drive typically taking around 30–40 minutes in normal traffic. This makes MCO the most convenient major airport for many domestic and international guests staying at Reunion.

Journey times can increase during Orlando’s busiest travel periods, particularly around weekday rush hours and major holidays, so it is worth allowing additional time when travelling to or from the airport. Read our guide on Orlando Airport to Reunion Resort for more information.

Getting from Orlando Airport (MCO) to Reunion Resort

Guests arriving at MCO can choose between car hire options, taxis, app-based rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, or a pre-arranged private transfer directly to their vacation home.

For a more seamless arrival, our Concierge team can arrange private airport transportation for couples, families and large groups. A car hire can also be arranged to be delivered to your Reunion Resort villa on request, allowing you to take a private transfer from the airport and enjoy seamless driving later.

Reunion Resort to Universal Studios & Other Attractions

Reunion Resort also provides a convenient base for exploring attractions beyond Walt Disney World. Universal Orlando Resort is approximately 20 miles away.

A car, rideshare, taxi or private transfer provides the greatest flexibility for visiting these attractions. Guests can also easily plan days and evenings at Disney Springs, International Drive, Orlando’s outlet malls and other entertainment districts across Central Florida.

Having independent transportation is particularly useful if your itinerary combines theme parks with golf, restaurants, shopping or day trips outside the immediate Disney area.

Getting Around Reunion Resort

Reunion Resort is a large community, so distances between individual vacation homes, golf courses, restaurants and recreational facilities can be greater than they first appear.

Many guests choose to drive around the resort, while eligible guests can also use Reunion’s on-resort shuttle service to reach selected resort facilities.
