Description
This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath getaway located on the quieter, North Beach end of Tybee. The home is bright, cheery and comfortable, decorated with hand-crafted pieces of art and tropical colors.
Enter the home on the first level through the library. For your enjoyment there is a wall full of books, jigsaw puzzles and many of the board games that my family enjoys. There are maps and information with suggestions for places to visit on Tybee and nearby Savannah and some of our favorite restaurants on the desk. There is also a laundry room on this level that, besides a washer and dryer, holds lawn games, some sand toys, a highchair, large pot and trays for a crab boil.
On the main level there is a great room with dining table (seats 8) and comfortable seating and large flat-screen Smart TV with a VCR and plenty of videos for your enjoyment. You can walk out to the new, expansive front covered porch that has plenty of seating, another dining table and 4 cooling fans - a great place to watch the world go by or glimpse the fabulous sunsets. The fully equipped kitchen has all the amenities any chef will enjoy using - stand mixer, blender and plenty of pots and utensils. Off the kitchen you will find a lovely private screened porch with another large table, couch and additional seating. There are two bedrooms (the larger of which can accommodate a portable crib) on this level with queen size beds and a large bath with double vanity and full tub w/shower.
If you take the funky, hand-painted stairs to the top level there is the bunk room which has a queen bed, two twin beds, and a comfy chair and ottoman. You can walk through to another private, sun-filled bedroom with a queen bed with a second TV and a seating area. Also a full bathroom with shower on this level.
Enjoy the newly-completed outdoor shower with dressing area under the rear porch; just follow the walkway on the left side of the house. Under the front porch stairs, you will find a gas grill (utensils are located above the refrigerator in kitchen). There is also a basketball hoop (bring your own ball) and soon a bocce court! The house is set up for a family to enjoy and we hope you love it here as much as we do!
The beach is a short two and a half minute stroll from the front door and has beach chairs and umbrellas available for rent. Enjoy the brand new public bathroom and showers, a snack bar and North Beach Grill - a full service restaurant and bar (you can bring drinks on the beach - just NO glass). Across from beach is the Tybee Island Lighthouse where you can climb to the top or visit the museum. Bikes are available to rent at several locations on the Island and they deliver as well. There is parking for a maximum of 4 cars.
