The name of Villa Seascape could hardly be more apt. High on a hillside above Pointe-Milou, this elegant, luxurious rental property is bathed in Caribbean sunlight and gives its guests a breathtaking 180-degree view over Mont Jean and the shimmering ocean below. Outfitted with chic, high-end furnishings and soft, inviting textures, the vacation home also affords up-close, sand-between-your-toes sea views, as it has its own private access to the beach in the cove below.

Unusually generous in size, Villa Seascape is well suited for large groups - extended families, perhaps, or groups of friends - who wish to socialize in the ample common spaces and then retreat to sleeping quarters that preserve their privacy. The living areas and bedrooms are spread across three levels, and most have spectacular views. So do the many sunny and shaded terraces, large pool deck, and long infinity pool, which is heated in winter.

Or guests may want to venture outside, and they have many options when they do. Ti St. Barth is very close by for those who like to party, and the quiet dining rooms of upscale hotels like the Christopher, Le Sereno, and Le Guanahani are also within easy reach. The watersports at Grand Cul de Sac are also nearby - windsurfing lessons, anyone? Even Gustavia is less than a 20-minute drive away.

The layout of Villa Seascape is convenient and flexible. The entrance level includes the covered but open-air living room, which is open on one side to a rock garden and on the other to the pool deck; a lavish, professional-caliber kitchen with sleek, low-slung lines in the counters and cabinets and Gaggenau appliances; and two of the six bedrooms. Three more bedrooms are down one flight of stairs, and the master bedroom, which has a private terrace and a jacuzzi bathtub, is by itself on the lowest level, where there is also a fitness room and massage table. There's not a bad bedroom in the house: Each has a California king bed, a sitting area, ample closet space, sliders to access the villa's outdoor areas, and a spacious bathroom with double vanities and a rain shower. And of course, each one has that tremendous sea view.
