How much traffic do I need to have on my website/blog in order to join?

We’re interested in creative converting content that drives bookings on our website. You don’t have to have any specific stats to apply for the programme. Once you sign up, our affiliate team will look at your application to see if we’re best matched to partner together.

Do I have to pay to sign up?

No, signing up through Awin is free. However, you are required to pay a $5 deposit, which is used to verify that your account is genuine. This money is kept in your account as credit and will be refunded to you once you meet the minimum payment threshold.

How much content do I have to write?

There is no framework you must stick to when creating content. You have freedom to write posts as you wish. As an affiliate, you are in control of your own commitment and earnings. However, our top-performing affiliates usually publish frequently and use a mix of banners and original content.

What kind of content should I create?

Your content can be whatever subject you choose, but the most successful way to increase conversions is to be informative. Consider what your readers are interested in, their spending power, and any upcoming event that you can tie your content to. Which destinations can I promote?

Top Villas has thousands of villas in luxury destinations around the world and it’s completely up to you which of these you choose to promote. If your blog or website focuses on one area – like Orlando, for example – then it’s best to start by creating content that promotes properties in that area. In this situation you could boost your earning potential by recommending weekend trips to nearby destinations (eg, the Caribbean).

Can I visit Top Villas properties?

We do not currently offer visits or stays for affiliates, but feel free to contact us if you would like to be considered in the future.

Is there an image library I can use?

You can access a variety of high-resolution images from our most popular destinations in our B2B Marketing Suite.

Can I save images from the Top Villas website?

You’re free to use images that you find on the Top Villas website for promotional purposes only! If you need hi-res versions of specific properties, please contact us.

Where can I find special offers?

You can view special offers through your affiliate dashboard under ’Links and Tools’ and then clicking on ‘My Offers’. You can also see our latest offers by navigating to a destination on our website and clicking ‘View special offers’

Can you send me exclusive offers?

Exclusive offers to promote on your site are usually reserved for top performing affiliates. However, if you think a certain idea would work best with an exclusive offer then feel free to get in touch.

What are banners and how do I add them to my site?

How do I create affiliate links?

To ensure you insert the correct links (which track a user’s journey from your site to ours) you will need to use the deep link tool. Read our guide to getting started with the deep link tool here.

What does ‘30-day cookie’ mean?

When a reader follows an affiliate link from your site to ours, they will pick up a cookie that identifies you as the source of the referral. . This cookie lasts for 30 days giving you the opportunity to generate conversions for an extended period of time and get credit for bookings that you helped to create, even if a user decides not to book right away.

How do I track my progress?

You can view your bookings, commission and analytics for your website through your Awin dashboard.

Are there rewards for top-performing affiliates?

We’re working on a reward scheme for top-performing affiliates which should be up and running soon!

Does my location affect my commission?

Wherever you’re based and whichever destinations your readers book, you can earn commission from the sales you drive. It doesn’t matter if you’re a UK blogger and you receive a US booking; the commission is processed in exactly the same way.

How much commission do I get from each booking?

Depending on the destination, resort or management; you’ll receive from 3% commission on the rental rate of each completed stay you generate.

When will my commission be validated?

Once you have generated a booking, you will be able to view this as pending commission. Once your booking has become a confirmed stay and the guest has departed, your commission will be validated through Awin.

Is there a limit on earned commission?

Your earning potential as an affiliate is uncapped which means there is no limit on the amount of conversions and commission you can earn.

What’s the payment threshold?

The payment threshold is the minimum accumulated commission to initiate a payment from an affiliate programme. For Awin, this is 20 GBP or 20 USD. We pay from 3% of the rental value on every completed stay, which means you could earn $250–500 per booking on average; way above the payment threshold.
