The Mammoth Mountain Ski Area offers a ski and snowboard school at each of the mountain’s 3 base lodges – Main, Canyon and Eagle.

Cross-country ski pass

For carefree family fun and snowy adventures, the Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Season Pass lets you enjoy unlimited access to 19+ miles of cross-country trails.

Mammoth lift tickets

With 28 lifts to hop on, Mammoth’s sophisticated lift system easily takes you where you need to be on the mountain. Of these lifts, you’ll find 3 gondalas, 23 variant speed/size chairs and 2 platter lifts.

Worried about the crowds? With a lift capacity of 50,000 people per hour, you’ve no need to worry!

As walk-ons aren’t permitted, you’ll need to secure your ride up the mountain with a pre-booked lift ticket.

Mammoth Mountain offers a great range of lift tickets, including group/family discounts and age-dependant incentives to get you skiing.

Mammoth single and multi-day tickets

With the Mammoth single and multi-day tickets, you’ll be able to pick the number of days you’d like to enjoy the mountain for. Once you’ve got your ticket you can easily reload it, for extra days and hassle-free future trips.

Beginner-friendly lift tickets

For those starting out on their skis or board, this handy lift ticket will take you where you need to be – the beginner slopes! These discounted tickets must be booked in advance.

Instead of the entire mountain, you’ll have lift access to the beginner chairlifts (Chairs 7, 11, 15 & 17). This restricted access ticket also takes out the fear of ending up on a black run by mistake!

Plus, kids up to 4 and seniors 80+ go free

All pre-booked tickets are available for collection, from any of the 3 base lodge ticket windows (during operational hours).

Subject to their own operational times, additional ticket windows may also be found at the base of Chair 2 (The Mill), Chair 4 (Rollercoaster Express), Mountain Center and at Mammoth Sports in The Village.

Mammoth Mountain weather

The yearly temperature in Mammoth varies from 11°F to 76°F. It rarely drops below -0°F, or above 82°F.

Does Mammoth have snow right now? Well with a long season typically from October/November to June/July and an average snowfall of 400 inches per year, chances are it will!

Winters here are snowy, freezing and often partly cloudy. It doesn’t hurt though to check the live summit cam for Mammoth Ski Area, before you hit the slopes.
