Skating is a fun-filled way to spend a day, and Orlando has got plenty of parks and venues to choose from. Whether you want to try your hand at skateboarding or fancy an indoor roller skating session, the city has got lots of dedicated spaces where you can spend the day on wheels. Here are some of our favorite roller skating venues and skate parks in Orlando.

Orlando Skate Park

Located in the Milk District, Orlando Skate Park is a local council-run outdoor venue dedicated to skateboarding and in-line skating. With ramps, bars, and bowls for practicing on, and skateboard rental options that are perfect if you’re visiting Orlando. Orlando Skate Park is regarded as one of the best concrete parks in Florida. Therefore, it gets very busy, particularly on weekends. It’s best to get there early if you want to enjoy a peaceful skate.

Entry to the park costs $5 for non-members, and that price includes all-day entry to the park and its use for skaters, skateboarders, and scooters. You can also use a BMX bike in the park for $7 per day. Helmet rental is available for $3, and it is required that all minor riders wear helmets with chin straps. It is also recommended that riders wear appropriate safety gear for their skating session. Orlando Skate Park is open 7 days a week. It opens from 02:00 pm through 10:00 pm on weekdays, and from 09:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends.

Orlando Metro Skatepark

Orlando’s only indoor skatepark is a great option for those days when the weather is less-than-perfect. Offering purpose-designed places to skateboard, lessons, courses, BMX hours, and even a foam pit, Orlando Metro Skatepark is one of the best skate venues in Florida.

The park is open to the public every day of the week, from 03:00 pm until 09:00 pm during the week, 11:00 am through 09:00 pm on Saturdays, and 11:00 am through 06:00 pm on Sundays. It costs $10 to enter on Saturdays, and $8 the rest of the week. You’ll need to fill out a waiver before you can skate. To save time, you can fill it out in advance of your visit here

Astro Skate Orlando

One of the most popular roller skating venues in Florida, Astro Skating Center is the place to go for fun-filled days zooming around the floor, where the whole family can get involved in the action. Skates are available to rent on-site. You have the choice of regular quads ($4), inline speed skates ($4), or quad trainers ($5). So whether you’re a roller newbie or a pro, you can choose the skating experience that suits you.

The venue is closed on Mondays and Thursdays, but during the rest of the week, there is a packed calendar. There are open skate sessions, family nights, kid’s sessions, and skating lessons regularly available, as well as special seasonal events. Open skate sessions cost $7 plus skate rental costs, and the venue is open until 11:00 pm. You can find Astro Skate Orlando on Goldenrod Road in east Orlando.

Skate Reflections

Located in beautiful Kissimmee, Skate Reflections has been providing fun family roller skating for over 40 years. A true indoor roller party experience, it has all the music, lights, and laughter that you could wish for from a roller skating rink. One look at the weekly calendar shows an itinerary stuffed full of irresistible sessions. You can choose from slots soundtracked to Disney music, ‘old school’ tunes, and learn to skate sessions. 

Admissions costs from $7 plus a $2 skate fee. If roller skating isn’t your thing, but you still want to observe your family and friends on the rink, you can purchase a $3 spectator ticket. Skate Reflections is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays, and also on Fridays, with the other days being dedicated to private skating parties.
