Test your driving skills and try to master the bends, overtake opponents and accelerate down the straights.

You’ll find many tracks around Orlando, each with their own twists and turns. We’ve listed five of the best go kart places in Orlando so you can spend less time running around for a great day out and more time racing around the track.

Orlando Kart Center

Colorful racers banking around the go kart track.

Located just 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO), Orlando Kart Center is one of the most central and easy-to-access facilities for racing enthusiasts and new racers alike. The center boasts the fastest karts in Orlando, reaching up to 45mph on its 8/10 mile track. There is also the option of a 6/10 mile track for shorter fast-paced laps. The tracks feature all the curbs and bumps you’d expect from a professional race track.

You can expect a high quality of rental equipment as well as wonderful mechanics and services alongside experts who are happy to give beginners a few pointers. There are two styles of kart to choose from. The powerful gas-powered kart will allow you to feel the rush of authentic, tournament-style racing and lightning-fast speeds. Orlando Kart Center also offers a two-seater kart, ideal for children 4 and up to race with an adult. If you have your own kart and equipment, you can use this here too but it isn’t required.

For those that want to rev up the excitement for birthdays, celebrations and corporate events, Orlando Kart Center can be booked to host private tournaments. There’s also a small snack bar where you can have a quick pit stop between races.

The facility has an “arrive and drive” policy, so you don’t need to make a reservation but, if you would like some more details, you can visit their website.

There’s no reason to worry about the weather putting a stop to your chance at victory at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. One of a few indoor Orlando karting centers, this climate-controlled facility claims to have the world’s longest indoor track with more elevation change than any other. You’ll love the ups and downs of the many slopes and banked turns around this extensive track where you can zoom around above and below other drivers. Andretti uses BIZ electric karts which provide an exciting amount of torque and maneuverability around hairpin turns. These karts are safe and are environmentally friendly, unlike gas-powered counterparts. Children as young as 5 and up can join in on the action.

Andretti has a lot more to offer than just excellent kart racing. There are a number of arcade games, simulators, bowling alleys as well as laser tag and high ropes. This is truly a place where adventurous adults and kids can enjoy a wholly exciting experience. The venue can be booked for birthday parties and celebrations and is complete with Andretti Grill, an in-house restaurant which serves many of your foodie favorites. At K1 Speed, formerly I-Drive NASCAR Go Karts Orlando, you can join dozens of other racers competing for the fastest lap time. Whizzing around the track again and again, trying to beat your personal best is an addictive kind of fun. Get your name on the leaderboard by racing quicker than the other drivers vying for the top spot. The facility has an excellent lap timing system that tracks your progress on large monitors to help you hone your skills. Put your helmet on and hop into one of the special OTL Storm EFD go karts to experience fast-paced maneuverability on the grippy concrete track. These aren’t your everyday electric go karts, this high-quality equipment was designed in Europe to be more competitive than most indoor gas-powered options. With all the power you crave to experience the fullest extent of racing, these karts are a cleaner, environmentally-friendly option.

K1 Speed’s Orlando karting centers also offer a truly unique ‘Glo-karting’ experience. K1 Speed transforms into a futuristic spaceship as the lights dim and the tracks are lit with luminescent neon strip-lights. Zoom around a colorful, illuminated track, like something out of the ‘TRON’ films. This distinct form of go karting is a not-to-be-missed activity.

For those new to kart racing, the friendly well-trained staff are happy to offer some tips and the optimal route to take around the track is clearly signposted.

Go karting isn’t the only activity at Dezerland Park. There’s also the choice of bowling, arcades, pinball and a NERF gun arena. If go karting isn’t enough entertainment for motor enthusiasts, there’s also an auto museum. After you get off the track, you can see classic cars and automotive memorabilia as well as a few motorized icons, such as batmobiles and the world’s longest car, which is over 100 feet long! Don’t worry you won’t go hungry either, there are at least ten food and drink locations in this sprawling complex.
