#1 Clearwater Beach

Just 6.6 miles away in Largo, the Florida Botanical Gardens provide a heavenly 182-acre park to relax in and explore. Promoting an environmentally-friendly way to garden, this park features beautiful plant collections of flora and fauna in an uplifting, immersive setting. The safe walkways make it easy to take in all the different landscapes here — from the romantic wedding garden and delightful butterfly garden, to the aromatic herb garden and creek. #7 The Ream Wilson Clearwater Trail

This ambitious trail (also known as the Clearwater East West Trail) will one day stretch for 13 miles from Clearwater Beach to Tampa Bay, connecting up with 20 parks along the way. For now, you can enjoy the 4.4-mile eastern stretch which runs through Safety Harbor. You’ll find trail end points at the Old Coachman Road and Veterans Memorial Lane. The wheelchair-friendly trail is ideal for walking, biking, inline skating and enjoying a spot of fishing.
