Guide to the Caribbean

Shoal Bay Beach Anguilla

Glistening waters, talcum powder sands and stunning vistas are just a few of the things you’ll find on Shoal Bay Beach Anguilla. Known as one of the best beaches, it attracts plenty of visitors from the island as well as day-trippers from nearby Saint Marteen. The sand is as white as can be, lined with tiny shell fragments that lend a magical sheen to the entire beach. The quiet seas here are safe for all the family and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking and windsurfing. Shoal Bay Beach Anguilla also boasts plenty of restaurants, bars, live music and equipment hire facilities. We recommend Allamanda Beach Club and Gwen’s Reggae Grill.

Sandy Ground Beach

Said to truly capture the essence of Anguilla Sandy Ground is as diverse as the island itself. Located on Road Bay the beach is backed by the island’s rich rainforest interior and rolling green hills. Described as eclectic, beautiful, friendly and unique Sandy Ground offers something for everyone with calm seas, white sands and boats bobbing out in the gentle sea. To the north end the beach comes alive with pumping music, local events, and an exciting nightlife scene at The Pumphouse, the Elvis Bar and Sammy’s Place and a range of other restaurants and bars along the bay. The biggest event on Sandy Ground is the Anguilla Carnival, which takes place in the first week of August and promises to make an Anguilla villa stay then extra special!

Little Bay

A hidden gem nestled in northwest Anguilla this stunning bay is hard to find but certainly worth the wait. Little Bay is an exquisite spot set on the coast of Crocus Bay just north of The Valley. This blue lagoon in enclosed by cliffs and can only be accessed by shuttle boat or down a cliff-side rope ladder. Nevertheless the effort to reach this secluded slice of paradise is worth the journey. Cliff top mansions overlook the bay where you will find pristine sands, turquoise seas and plenty of peace and quiet. Boats are not allowed to moor here so the waters are clear to roam; there’s also no surf making it an excellent snorkeling site with an abundance of tropical fish below the surface and friendly pelicans swimming alongside you. Due to the lack of facilities available visitors are advised to pack towels, drinking water and a picnic.
