    Languedoc holiday villa with pool –halfway between the Mediterranean sea and the Cevennes national park, this lovely tranquil property is the perfect place to unwind.

Set on a hillside and surrounded by 10 acres of woods, Le Domaine Joli comprises two tastefully restored and attractively furnished stone houses, as well as an air conditioned wooden cabin with double bedroom: this flexible accommodation works well for families and friends holidaying together. You can relax outdoors over long, sociable breakfasts, lunches and evening meals, enjoying the wonderful views over the countryside to the Cevennes mountains, as well as stunning night skies. The grounds are spacious, so there is plenty of room for children to play, and you have the advantage of a gated pool area, as well as several terraces, patios and decked areas.

Just under two miles’ drive is the village of Sauve, with its bakery and delicatessen and a market on Saturday; the little town of Quissac 5 miles away offers a wider range of amenities such as a market on Wednesdays, a post office, bank, pharmacy and other small shops. There are at least six good restaurants within a ten-minute drive of the villa, ranging from a gourmet restaurant to takeaway pizzerias. Alternatively, why not relax at the villa and have a cook or chef prepare you a wonderful lunch or dinner? Since this property boasts three kitchens, they can prepare your meal without causing you the slightest inconvenience!

Le Domaine Joli enjoys all the benefits of its rural location deep in the south of France, yet is within easy driving distance for day trips to the sea or to some of the most attractive towns and cities in both Languedoc and Provence, so your holiday can be full of variety. Your closest sandy beaches are at Carnon, Maguelone and Saintes Maries de la Mer, and several attractive towns (Montpellier, Aigues Mortes, Nimes, Uzes and Arles) can all be reached in about an hour. If you prefer smaller places, why not visit picturesque Anduze, which is well-known for its pottery and the steam train ride to St Jean du Gard; Sommieres and its market are also well worth taking the time to visit. There are plenty of outdoor activities available too, such as walking, rock climbing, gliding, cycling, swimming in pristine rivers, zipwires, riding, and visits to caves. The local villages offer summer fetes, concerts and other events, and the Cevennes national park is only half an hour from this Languedoc holiday villa with pool.
