Enjoy a quiet, sunny position in the Basque countryside surrounded by meadows, yet is within easy reach of the local village, Biarritz centre and the Atlantic beaches. Nearby Bayonne is the regional capital; a bustling energetic place known for its chocolate shops and for its hams. The fashionable seaside town of Biarritz is famed for its Belle Epoque architecture, smart shops and chic street-side cafes. Being the birthplace of French surfing, the Biarritz Surf Festival attracts boarders from as far afield as Australia and Hawaii. Charming Saint-Jean-de-Luz further south is the last major town before you start heading into Spain.

There are many other fascinating places to explore and discover in this part of France. Les Landes with its seemingly never-ending pine forests and beaches and the Dune de Pyla, which is the biggest sand dune in Europe. Venture further inland to discover grand chateaux, medieval towns with their beautiful churches and places such as Dax renowned for its thermal spas and hydrotherapy. Pau is an elegant town in the foothills of the Pyrenees en-route to the pilgrimage town of Lourdes. And lets not forget the endless water sports and golfing opportunities in the surrounding areas.
