Whilst the exterior exudes the charm of a bygone era, the interior offers a cool, urban vibe. A small but perfectly formed garden surrounds the 11m pool, perfect for morning laps.
The charming Basque village of Bidart is on your doorstep. Ever popular among families for its deep stretch of golden sand, it also offers a challenge to surfers of all abilities. With a great choice of shops and restaurants you may be tempted to just stay put for the entirety of your holiday, but it would be such a pity to miss everything else on offer in the fabulous Basque region.  Biarritz is a busy town with beautiful architecture, chic boutiques and great restaurants.  After a busy day about town, choose one of the seafront cafes to sit and enjoy an ‘Amer Picon’ aperitif as you watch the locals switch from office worker to surfer dude (and dudette!).  Then onto the Casino for a fun night out. 
Inland are the stunning Pyrenees Mountains.  There is a train which runs up to the highest peak, delivering a magnificent view of the entire region.  Further south, St Jean de Luz must not be missed, and San Sebastian, just over the Spanish border is also worth a day trip.
