The weather in Barbados is sunny all year round, but conditions do vary depending on the time of year.
Barbados sees around 3,000 hours of sunshine each year, however there is a rainy season and there’s a big distinction between the high and low seasons.
Barbados is in the tropics, so the summer months are marked by hot sunny days and tropical rain showers, especially during the hurricane season from June to November. The heat and humidity can soar in the summer, although the constant northeast tradewinds stop it from getting unbearably hot.
If you’re visiting Barbados in the summer, you should expect some rain, although it typically comes in short showers followed quickly by sunny skies. You shouldn’t worry to much about hurricanes either, as the chances of one actually hitting are quite low.
The weather in Barbados is cooler during the winter and early spring; these are the driest and least humid months. Winter is also the peak season in Barbados, which runs roughly from December to mid-April. This is one of the best times to visit weather-wise, especially if you prefer the good weather to be pretty much guaranteed.
Despite the distinction between the seasons, temperatures usually vary very little throughout the year with average highs sitting just below 86F and average lows in the mid to low 70s.
