24 hours in Las Vegas
Las Vegas located in the Mojave Desert is warm and dry with an average 250 sunny days every year and very little rainfall making this city very welcoming; summer temperatures could reach the dizzy heights of 100°F and evenings can be cool.
Las Vegas is famous for its quick-fire weddings at the Little White Chapel; you can even get Elvis to serenade you but if you aren't planning on a wedding this time, there is still lots to do here!
8.35am Just in time for Penguin feeding at The Flamingo's Wildlife Habitat.
9.00am Breakfast for you at Paradise Garden Buffet at The Flamingo
10.00am Then head over to Mandalay Bay to use one of their three pools to relax and catch the rays or even take a dip. If you're feeling brave ladies and want to go topless, the Mandalay Bay's "European Pool", Moorea Beach Club is only open Friday to Sundays!
12.00pm Chilled and relaxed, visit Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay before lunch - this is a must-see experience. The aquarium houses more than 1,200 species of wildlife including five species of shark. The aquarium looks like a ship wreck which is the perfect setting for you to see the marine life.
1.30pm Lunch - Burger Bar at Mandalay Place for good hamburgers and a wide choice of toppings.
2.30pm Start the afternoon with a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon (about an hour and a half).
4.30pm Keep the adrenalin pumping the Stratosphere's big rides; you can try the bungee-slingshot The Big Shot, Insanity where you can be "dangled over the edge of a tower" or the terrifying X Scream.
6.00pm Time to calm down. Catch the Bellagio Fountain Show for free; it's choreographed to dance along with classic Vegas songs such as Hey, Big Spender and Luck Be a Lady. It shows every 30 minutes so hang on if it isn't showing as you arrive!
7.00pm Back to Mandalay Bay to treat yourselves to supper at Aureole. This modern American/French restaurant will wow you but it isn't cheap at around $85 per person for three courses! Go on spoil yourselves.
9.00pm Visit Caesar's Palace for a spot of gambling - blackjack, roulette, Baccarat, poker and more followed by drinks in one of their five themed bars. We like Numb Bar for their frozen cocktails or Cleopatra's Barge, a floating bar palatially decked out like as royalty would have travelled on the River Nile!
11.00pm Head over to the Stratosphere observation deck now it's dark! See the city from well over 1,000 feet up on a 360° indoor "deck".
