Why not Be Our Guest at the new restaurant opening in Fantasyland in November?

We’ve known for a long time that adults as well as children love the magic of DisneyWorld.  Come November and there is another reason for the grown-ups to enjoy it.  Fantasyland’s Be Our Guest Restaurant opens on the 19th.  Why is this such a big occasion?  This is the first restaurant at the Magic Kingdom that will allow you to enjoy a bottle of wine or a beer with your meal.

Open for lunch and dinner

The Be Our Guest Restaurant is big.  It has 3 dining rooms and can seat 550 guests so there is plenty of space for all visitors.  Even so they are recommending you book 180 days in advance especially when they first open.  So if you’ve booked your villa near Disney for the Christmas or New Year vacations you might still just be lucky.  For those of you who are considering dates in 2013, make your Be Our Guest reservation top of your to do list once your villa is booked!

Moules Provencal

You’ll find the restaurant at the foot of the mountain below the Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland.  You’ll think you’re entering the set of the film Beauty and the Beast.  The dining areas will be set in the spine-tingling West Wing or the elegant, domed ceiling Ballroom complete with luxurious chandeliers.

At lunch times The Rose Gallery will also be open for you where the imposing character figures Belle and the Beast can be found.

The rose motif can be found everywhere in the restaurant – carved into the gargoyles hair, on the backs of chairs, the pattern on the mosaic floor or in the stained glass windows.  Of course this symbol was an important part of the Beast’s story in the film.

About the food

With a lunch time menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, as well as a special ‘kids under 9’ version there is a good choice for an energy boost in the middle of the day.

Come supper time and you can enjoy a three course meal with inspiration taken from French cuisine such as the Moules Provencal or Ratatouille Confit Byaldi for the vegetarians amongst you.  Of course there are some favorites for all to enjoy like a Grilled Strip Steak with garlic butter and Pomme Frites.  Or for seafood lovers, sautéed shrimp, scallops and mushrooms in puff pastry with a succulent lobster sauce.

Desserts are a delightful selection of gourmet cupcakes or mousse filled cream puffs which you can also select at lunch time.

About the wine and beer

Keeping to the French theme, Be Our Guest Restaurant will allow you to enjoy some fine French wines including Champagne.  A selection of beers from France and Belgium are also available.  The perfect ‘finish’ to your meal.

  • Quick service and a la carte menu pricings are between $15 – $35.99
  • You should make your reservations as soon as you know when you will be visiting the park
  • You will need a credit card when you book
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your reservation otherwise you will incur a cancellation fee
  • If you have special dietary needs, please let the restaurant know in advance
  • This restaurant is part of the Tables in Wonderland program
