2. The LEGO store in Downtown Disney

Gasp at giant LEGO wildlife and build soaring skyscrapers at the LEGO Imagination Center in Downtown Disney. The store sells Lego in every shape and size, and boasts a colorful creative hub where visitors young and old can build free-of-charge and let their imagination run wild.

3. Black Hammock Wildlife Exhibition

Visit this lively entertainment complex located on Lake Jesup and watch Hammy the giant gator guzzle his grub. The 10,000 acre lake is home to thousands of alligators and birds, a gift shop, awesome airboat rides and the Lazy Gator Bar. Visitors can sample the famous ‘gator tail’ delicacy and enjoy free animal exhibitions and live music.

4. Lake Eola Park

Enjoy a picnic under the palm trees, feed wild swans, and take a breather from downtown Orlando in this 43-acre oasis. Visit the famous farmers market held here on Sunday mornings, and enjoy one of the many free concerts held at the Lake Eola Park amphitheater.

6. Sample citrus fruits in Winter Park

Taste juicy tangerines and gobble grapefruit wedges at the Farmers Market held every Saturday. Hundreds of friendly vendors sell local fruit, veg and baked goods each weekend at the Winter Park 1890 train depot.

7. African culture at The Hurston

The Hurston Museum is the namesake of acclaimed 20th-century author Zora Neale Hurston from Eatonville, the first all-Black town in America. From 19th-century furniture crafted by slaves to contemporary paintings by urban children, the museum showcases the work of many African artists.

8. Gallery walks at City Arts

Be amazed and intrigued as you wander through the City Arts Factory in Orlando and see sculptures, paintings and jewelry crafted by local and international artists. The giant factory phenomenon boasts five galleries and 8,000 square feet of performance space.

9. Take a trip to the Town of Celebration

Visit this Disney-made town and marvel at gorgeous gardens, huge houses and all the magic of Disney living. Children can play in the interactive fountain or see artificial snow falling in the winter months.

10. Fort Christmas Historical Museum and Park

Pay a visit to the full size replica of Fort Christmas, which was originally built for the Second Seminole Indian War in 1835. See seven restored pioneer homes and various exhibitions featuring pioneer life such as homesteading, hunting, fishing and trapping from the 1870s through the 1930s.
