Is Europe calling you? There is still some time to book a late deal to the Mediterranean countries for a summer break. Take your pick from our luxury villas in some fabulous resorts for a great ‘taste’ of the areas.
The wonderful South of France
You may have missed the Cannes Film Festival but there is still plenty to see including celebrity spotting if that’s your thing. Book a luxury vacation rental and then …
Head to Nikki Beach in St Tropez to see how the rich and famous take their vacations and top up their tans. Head to Plage de Pampelonne another beach where all the ‘best’ hang out, take a dip in the blue sea or watch the world go by from one of the beach front cafes.
While you’re there make sure you check out the designer shops and sample some great French cooking at one of the many restaurants.
Or enjoy Antibes, once just a quaint fishing village, and some of the many beaches in the area. Get your fill of culture at the Picasso Museum or the Absinthe Museum where you can sample this local anise flavoured alcohol.
Italy’s Amalfi Coast
Head to the south of Italy and make a beautiful Amalfi villa your base. From here you can visit the still active volcano Mount Vesuvius, or the biggest town of the region, Naples. If you prefer something quieter make your visit to Sorrento. Or stay put and enjoy the local surroundings. Whether you choose to walk along the Amalfi coast or just sample the local cuisine, it will fulfil your dreams.
Don’t forget to sample the local spirit, Limoncello; it is strong and sweet and makes a perfect digestif!
Mykonos – a great Greek Island
With so many islands to choose from in Greece it’s difficult to make a choice. Mykonos was where Zeus ‘king of the gods’ fought the Titans and also was a favourite haunt of Jackie Kennedy and Aristotle Onassis in the 1960s.
If you choose a luxury villa on Mykonos you can enjoy the many wonderful beaches, see the iconic windmills and the Venetian-style houses and cobbled streets in Alefkantra. Also meet Petros the Pelican; let us introduce you, Petros is the official mascot of Mykonos.
If you’re looking for a Spanish island which encompasses the perfect beach destination with culture and history, then head to Marjorca. It’s the perfect location for a villa vacation rental on one of the Balearic Islands.
What can you expect? The luxury home-from-home villa with access to many beautiful Mediterranean beaches; great golf courses, waterparks and the splendour of the gothic cathedral in Palma. Plenty of great restaurants serving local delicacies and nightlife if you want it.
