Many flights to Koh Samui go via Bangkok although others are available via Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
There is a direct flight to Samui International Airport from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport with flight times taking just over an hour. Samui Airport is located just 2km north of the island’s main settlement, Chaweng. It is owned by Bangkok Airways, which operates most flights in and out of the island.
Samui’s airport is a picturesque facility and has won numerous awards for its unique ‘outdoor’ design. It’s home to a fantastic shopping arcade as well as bars, cafés, restaurants and lounge areas.
