Roll-up, roll-up, Storybook Circus is almost completely open in the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland.

Themed to look like an old fashioned circus, with big top tents everywhere, it certainly adds to the magic of this park.

Luckily for you, it is close to many of our luxury Orlando vacation rentals so that it will take you no time at all to experience the thrills.

The Great Goofini

The latest attraction
Pete’s Silly Sideshow is about to open. Officially it’s a character greeting location. In other words somewhere you or more probably, your kids can go to meet Disney characters, get their autograph and have their photos taken with the Disney star.

The Disney characters will be ‘in character’. Storybook Circus character that is. Your little ones can meet the Great Goofini, the daredevil stunt pilot. You might also catch a glimpse of him flying his Barnstormer roller coaster through the park.

Donald Duck is now the Astounding Donaldo, a talented snake charmer and Minnie Mouse is now known as Minnie Magnifique, a Parisian poodle trainer. Daisy Duck will mystify you as Madame Daisy Fortuna and tell your fortune if she gets the chance.

Let’s hope they don’t disappoint by taking on new roles, even though we suspect their original characters will shine through.

Big Top Treats
Also waiting in the wings to greet customers is the Big Top Treats. Just like its name suggests it’s full of things to give you hours of pleasure.

As well as some circus-themed treats for your tummy, such as cotton candy and caramel apples, outside food carts will spoil you with hot dogs and pretzels.

Inside the Big Top really looks like a big top complete with the pointed roof, lights and trapeze ropes. As you stroll around there are many indulgences to persuade you to part with a few dollars more in the form of Disney merchandise.

FASTPASS
Storybook Circus will also open a brand new FASTPASS distribution centre for Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Barnstormer to cut down queuing times.

If you’re making a visit in the near future these new attractions will cast even more magic spells over you and your guests. They’re due to ‘open their doors’ in mid October.

At the beginning of December there will be four more attractions open in Fantasyland with two following close on their heels next year.
