If you’re planning a last minute romantic break for Valentine’s day or maybe a honeymoon or anniversary celebration later in the year, then here are some tips to enjoy an adults only visit to DisneyWorld.
Don’t count the dollars when you’re dining
It’s a special romantic break so this isn’t the time to scrimp and save especially on the food. Get out of the parks especially at night for some fine dining. Try the Flying Fish Café on the Boardwalk where you can enjoy a 5 course prix fixe menu with wines to match for around $60. You also get to sit at the Chef’s counter and watch the food prepared.
Try the Victoria and Albert at the Grand Floridian Resort where the prix fixe menu will set you back $135 but will be worth it.
Of course there are plenty of choices and restaurants galore on International Drive. If you prefer you can have a cosy meal for two cooked in your own summer kitchen at your holiday home-from-home in your Orlando villa.
Enjoy the nightlife
Wander the Boardwalk and see the performers ending up in Jellyrolls for the fun of the duelling pianos. You can see Epcot’s nightly fireworks, IllumiNations from the Boardwalk too.
Downtown Disney has a lot to offer as well, including nightly shows at Cirque du Soleil with their amazing performers. You will need to book in advance though.
All the parks bar Magic Kingdom have a good bar or two. Try La Cava del Tequila at Epcot or the Tune-in Café at Hollywood Studios. Dawa Bar at Animal Kingdom is also worth a visit.
Sample some special adult only attractions
No we’re not talking saucy here! For instance you could sample the beverages from around the world at the World Showcase at Epcot. Best to start early and share one or two so that you can get to the end still standing.
Of course there are the adrenlin rush-making roller coasters and other rides, or spend the night bowling at the super-duper lanes at Splitsville or designing your own sports car at Test Track at Epcot. The options are endless.
Capture some memories
Remember to get some photos – you’ll want to remember this trip of a lifetime.
Buy a special souvenir
What about some ‘Just Married’ buttons or Mickey ears with the same message? OK they’re just for fun, so maybe some frames to put those photos in?
Whatever you do have fun and make you romantic break at DisneyWorld something you will remember for a long time to come. We are sure your beautiful luxury Orlando villa will help!
