Sleeps 12 - rental house in south west France - this beautifully restored 19th century country house stands in a peaceful location on the edge of the picturesque hamlet of Cenac, in a region renowned for its wines and lovely countryside. Formally part of an old priory with two traditional pigeonnier towers, Prieure de Cenac is surrounded by over two and a half acres of private grounds, an orchard and vineyards with wonderful views across the valley towards the town of Prayssac.

The entire house has been completely renovated to provide high quality accommodation with many preserved, original features including beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and exposed stone walls. The former chapel still remains and has been incorporated in the stunning master bedroom. The accommodation space is ample in both the house and the adjoining west wing where two families can enjoy total privacy in their own living room and own kitchen. A large covered terrace is also the perfect place for everyone to have their breakfast, in the idyllic setting of the garden.

The beautiful and varied landscape of the Lot Valley ranges from forested hills and valleys to dramatic cliffs, rolling farmland and extensive vineyards. Fortified chateaux and Medieval limestone villages dot this region and are all worth visiting. If you want to enjoy spectacular views make sure your itinerary includes the pretty villages of St Cirq Lapopie, perched on the edge of a cliff overhanging the Lot River as well as Rocamadour, a landmark of this region, with its impressive architecture and breathtaking views.
